Embrace the colder temperatures by using the new season as inspiration for your nail art . We can’t get enough of this simple yet wonderful wintery ombre design. Follow our step-by-step tutorial to get it just right.
Shape your nails using a nail file and make sure that they are clean and dry.
Apply your protective Essie First Base base coat. This base coat will help the colour adhere strongly to your nails, all the while protecting them from stains.
Use different shades of green or blue nail polish to create a horizontal ombre aesthetic. We recommend starting with the snowy white Essie Blanc on the nail of your little finger, followed by Essie Zip Me Up, Essie Mint Candy Apple, Essie First Timer and, finally, Essie Naughty Nautical on your thumb.
Once the polish is completely dry, gently apply a tiny nail art diamond or snowflake to the centre of each nail bed. This will add some wintery bling to the look.
Finish off each nail with a generous slick of fast-drying Essie Speed-Setter Top Coat to prevent chipping and add shine.
Don’t forget that extra TLC and diligent nail care is required to keep your talons in tip-top shape as the weather changes and the air begins to get drier and drier. As long as you do this, you’ll be able to enjoy beautiful nail art all season long!
