If, like us, you’ve previously shied away from false lashes out of fear of gluing your eyelids shut, we get you! Nowadays, however, it’s become a far less daunting task because of the premium products available – with more and more women embracing the fuller eyelash look. Not convinced? Here’s a beginner’s guide to applying false eyelashes to get you started.
Prep your lashes
Before you slap on those falsies, apply your usual eye makeup first. This includes your eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara for a pre-lashes lift. Try for a full fan effect. We also recommend using an eyelash curler before applying your mascara – it’ll help define that curl.
Apply the glue
Applying glue to false lashes is what a lot of us find to be the hardest part. But, it doesn’t have to be! Simply use tweezers to hold your falsies, dabbing a thin line of glue onto the lash band. Use the tip of the glue tube to do this or apply using an earbud. Be sure to wait for the glue to dry slightly before doing anything more.
Place the lashes
For this part you’ll need to grab those tweezers again and your Urban Lash by Urban Decay. When placing your falsies, try doing so where your eyeliner is. Begin at the inner corners of eye and press down the lashes onto your lash line using the tweezers. Readjust where needed and allow them to dry.
And just like that your lashes have gone from woe to WOW! Soon enough you’ll be able to play around with different lengths and colours for trendy looks.
