Those who have ever tried to perfect the classic winged eyeliner look will know all too well that you definitely can’t just, well, wing it. Luckily, this gorgeous eye makeup style, which might not be the ideal work makeup look, doesn’t have to remain elusive to you as your workday turns to night play!
How to do the classic winged liner look in under 10 minutes
Apply a thin layer of liquid foundation and blend. We love the long-lasting Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24Hr Long Wear Foundation SPF15, available in 40 shades.
Now for the intricate part – achieving the winged liner. Grab the fragrance-free L'Oréal Super Liner Ultra Sharp ultra-thin liquid eyeliner and hold it while placing your pinkie finger against your cheek. This will help to keep the liner steady.
Start in the middle of the eye and draw a thin line extending outwards towards the edge of your eyelid. Next, draw a thin line from the corner of your eye and connect it with the middle line. Then, using your lower lash line as a guide, draw the wing, extending upwards as far as you like. Finally, connect the wing with the first line you drew. And VOILA. Repeat on the other side.
Quick tip: If you make a mistake, simply touch it up using an ear-bud dipped in warm water.
Apply a lick of vibrant NYX Worth the Hype Volumising and Lengthening Mascara in Brown.
If you have made your eyeliner quite dramatic, apply a beautiful matte, nude lip colour such as the hydrating L'Oréal COLOUR RICHE® Ultra Matte Highly Pigmented Nude Lipstick in Ultra Nude. If you have opted for thinner lines, then a va-va-voom lippie is a must to finish off the look. We can’t get enough of the loud and proud Urban Decay Mega Matte Vice Lipstick in Alpha.Talk about a simple 10-minute makeup routine! It’s the no-fuss route to looking flawless.
