Silver eyeshadow The go-to look for Summer

Metallic eye shadow is here to stay! Thanks to the rose gold eyeshadow [link to 3.18.6] trend we already know that all that glitters is absolutely gorgeous. Now it’s time to try something even more stunning: silver eyeshadow!

We girls love anything shiny, from diamonds to sparkling sequins – and silver glitter eyeshadow is just the thing to make the eyes gleam with excitement. Silver eyeshadow has been lighting up the catwalks this season, and it’s become the must-have makeup look for summer parties and special occasions.

Prime those peepers

Applied the right way, silver eyeshadow provides a dazzling pop of shimmer on your eyelids. To get the silver summer look, you need to use a good eyeshadow primer. We recommend Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. The primer ensures that your eyeshadow glides on smoothly and gives a more vibrant colour with staying power. Without primer, your eyeshadow will not be as saturated and blend in with your natural skin tone.

Apply silver glitter eyeshadow

Use a flat eyeshadow brush to apply NYX Professional Makeup Prismatic Eyeshadow in Tin to your whole eyelid. Then, using a smaller eyeshadow brush, apply NYX Professional Makeup Prismatic Eyeshadow in Smoke and Mirrors to your crease. This slightly darker shade will give your silver eyeshadow a bit of a smoky contour. For added sparkle, use your fingers to gently pat an extra layer of metallic shadow to your lid.

Finish with black eyeliner and mascara

The silver glitter eyeshadow trend is bold and glamorous. Pairing it with slick black eyeliner is a must. Use

L'Oréal Paris Makeup Designer Infallible Eye Gel Crayon in Back to Black to line your top lid. Flick the line out at the far corners to create cat eye wings. This eye gel crayon glides on smoothly and has immense staying power, but can also be blended. Apply eyeliner to the outer corners of your lower lash line, and smudge the line for a subtle smoky look.

Finish off your silver summer look with Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara to add volume and length to those luscious lashes.
