This lash-curling combo is the answer to spidery lashes
This lash-curling combo is the answer to spidery lashes

Do you have so-called ‘spider lashes’ that just won’t hold a curl no matter how much product you apply to them? Then this lash-curling combo is for you! Use our curling combo technique on both your upper and your bottom lashes and you’ll almost certainly enjoy cute, curled lashes from AM to PM. Here’s how it’s done.

Grab your eyelash curler

We know, we know… you already use an eyelash curler, but the results just don’t seem to last, right? We hear you! But have you tried heating up your eyelash curler first? Do so with a hairdryer, blasting the heat onto the device for a maximum of five seconds to avoid injury, and then quickly using it on your lashes as you usually would.

Reach for waterproof mascara

Waterproof mascara offers its wearer more benefits than just peace of mind when it comes to withstanding water. It is also kind of like magic hairspray for eyelashes! Waterproof mascara is your best bet when it comes to setting that beautiful curl in place after using your heated eyelash curler. The gel formula Urban Decay Cannonball Ultra Waterproof Mascara and the natural oil/nylon fibre NYX Professional Makeup Doll Eye Mascara are both sure-fire winners.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle

There’s a special approach to applying waterproof mascara, or any mascara for that matter, that will help you to achieve a flawless finish. Basically, all you do is wiggle the wand at the base of the lashes before extending upwards. This ensures that the majority of the product sits at the base as opposed to the tops of the lashes, weighing them down (and affecting your curl!). It also helps to reduce the likelihood of mascara clumps.

And there you have it. Could achieving perfectly curled lashes that last be any easier? You’re welcome!
